  • What should I bring to Fun Field Festival?
Number one, bring your sense of FUN, your love and inclusion of others and get ready for some serious JOY! Oh and logistically... If you are camping, you should bring essentials like a tent, sleeping bag, camping chair, reusable water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, comfortable clothing, good shoes and toiletries. Don't forget your festival ticket, ID, and some cash (there will be tap available at the GrassHopBar and the food trucks but maybe not for all vendors) There is limited shade in the field so maybe think about bringing your own... Shade tents for kids, an umbrella/parasol - good for all weather!

  • Where is the nearest store to Fun Field Festival?
Please read the articles in our 'Trip Planning' section to find out useful information about the towns of Cranbrook and Fernie, depending on which direction you are coming from. There is no store in Wardner and the closest gas station is in Jaffray about 5-10min away.
  • Where is Wardner and how do I get there?
Wardner is located on the Kootenay River (and yes there is river access just a 5min walk from Fun Field Festival!) It is around 25min from the City of Cranbrook to the West and 35min to the City of Fernie to the East. There is no public transport so you will need your own vehicle to get to Fun Field Festival OR you could try one of the rideshare sites: Kootenay Rideshare Fernie Rideshare or make a post on the Fun Field Festival event page to connect with other festival goers. Please be safe whichever you choose. Here is the link to the google map location - follow the Fun Field Festival signs from Hwy 3 and check in with staff at the festival front gate for directions to camping or day parking areas. Please respect the private property of residents in Wardner - we are guests in their community.
  • Can I bring my dog to Fun Field Festival?
Usually the answer to this question at any festival is no... however we are lucky enough that the people of Wardner are dog lovers and so the answer is YES!! But please follow the following rules or the answer will quickly turn into no: **All dogs must remain on a leash at all times **Dogs are NOT allowed in the fenced festival grounds or the kids activity area - dogs must remain in the campground area or the field areas outside the festival grounds **Please BYO poop bags and make sure that ALL poop is picked up and disposed off appropriately **Please only bring your dog if they will be happy in this environment - it may be loud at times and there will be lots of people and other dogs around. If they do not like this kind of environment, please find them something else to do for the weekend! Please help us keep the answer to this question a YES for years to come.
