RUBBER TIRE PEEP SHOW
Rubber Tire Peep Show is a musical collective whose eclectic repertoire spans genres from country-blues, funk, soul, to some good old rock ’n’ roll. Through an ever-growing roster of collaborating musicians both on stage, and in studio, “the Peep Show” infuses each performance with Jam-Band dynamics and fresh interpretations of both original compositions and beloved classics. With an unwavering passion for musical collaboration, and all the good-times that come along with it, they work hard to ensure that “you’ll never see the same show twice!”.
THE DOGGONE BROTHERS BAND
The music is acoustic-grassy, with a dash of old country and a side of old-time music throughout their set of original, traditional and cover tunes. This Kootenay-based band is Clayton Parsons (The Good ‘Ol Goats, The Parsons) on banjo, guitar and dobro, and Michael Hepher (Craig Young Band, RedGirl, As The Crow Flies) on mandolin, octave mandolin, and guitar. Rounding out the sound is Leah Gardner on fiddle, and Rhonda Shippy on upright Bass.
ELECTRIC BLANKET BAND CLUB
Electric Blanket Band Club is a Pop Punk Sad Band hailing from Fernie, B.C. After just over 3 years together Electric Blanket has successfully played a total of one time outside their home town of Fernie, and now with multiple hundreds of streams on Spotify the boys have pre-emptively all quit their jobs to prepare for their ascent to stardom with their hit tracks like “Brad Pitty Party” and “Planet of the Vapes” (*these songs are not yet available for streaming). Known for their energetic shows and confusing on stage banter, EB is excited to bring their nervous energy to the big leagues! Ie. anywhere that isn't The Northern Bar and Grill. Check them out on Instagram, Youtube or Spotify. Since nothing is all in one place, your best bet is to skim all three platforms, and you should be able to get an idea of their music that way.
BROTHERHOOD OF LOST SOULS
The pugilistic Pistol Pete Durning (lead vocals), Roy "BTR" Wilgan (lead & rhythm guitars, vocals), Peter Warland Jr. (the Oak Tree of Rock and Roll), Dirty Ferdy Belland (bass, vocals), and Morgan Fraser (drums). Earlier versions of BOLS had been kicking around Cranbrook BC since the early 2010s, but the band as we know it coalesced into its current hard-driving garage-rock engine in December 2022 and they've been running full-tilt-boogie ever since. With a sound reminiscent of the Supersuckers, the Hellacopters, Zeke, Nashville Pussy, Turbonegro, the Vines, the Hives, and Danko Jones, the Brotherhood of Lost Souls specializes in songs about broken hearts, broken dreams, and broken glass
BELLA CAT
Described as a futuristic soul show, her voice has been compared to Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, and Etta James by multiple media sources like CBC, Les 7 Jours, Rogers, Ottawa Magazine, Pap Jazz, Metro News, The Low Down and more. You can expect Bella’s live shows to include a full band, costumes, special guest singers, and sometimes drag artists or dancers depending on the event.
AFTERNOON JAM WITH THE DUKES OF PECTIN
Scott Deydey (The Runs, Blues Steel) - Rick Miller (Brickhouse Jam) - Zak Barrett (Royal & Brickhouse Jam) - Ryan Mildenberger (Shred Kelly)
Fernie’s music culture is built on a long history of good quality Jam.. Especially preserved for Fun Field Festival, the highest quality batch of Jam will be created by these cornerstones of the Fernie Jam world. These fine musicians will be facilitating the afternoon Jam at the festival but all musicians, crowd members, sticky types and Jam fans are invited and encouraged to join. The Dukes of Pectin will spread this Jam on thick, that we know for sure, as for where the Jam ends up… for that we will leave the door a jar…
GARUDA
GARUDA describe themselves as Kootenay Raga, and that's exactly what they are: the mindchild of sitarist-vocalist Steven Pierson, who combines his love of the sound of Hindustani classical music with a unique prog-rocking songwriting style all his own. Rounded out by the powerhouse rhythm section of Jason Deatherage (drums and percussion) and Ferdy Belland (hybrid bass, background vocals), the band propels songs of social justice, mysterious love, and ancient chains in a manner both thoughtful and tuneful.
